..And the wedding obsession continues. I'm in love with love. And weddings. These photos are from a wedding inspired photo-shoot, which you can find here. Inspired by the woods, these photos are so whimsical and magical - I love it! Even if it wasn't an actual wedding, I think it's perfect.

Photo of the Day: Home Away from Home
Sometimes when I'm not being a hermit, I go away for the weekend to my friends house in Niagara Falls, Canada. When you leave normalcy, you start to really feel inspired. There is nothing I like more than going on adventures, trying new food, thrifting (and finding $300 Louboutin shoes!), watching zombie and disney movies, long life chats at 3 am, and sing-a-longs while driving. Here are a few photos from my trip:
I can't wait to go back again soon.
Canadian winter.. no snow!
Night time drives listening to Brand New.
I'm a size 9.. think I could squeeze?
I can't wait to go back again soon.

Photo of the Day: Week 2
Marilyn Monroe reading a script
I know there are some people that don't understand the hype that is/was Marilyn Monroe. Last Saturday I watched Some Like It Hot, which was hilarious. I went to an exhibit called "Marilyn in Canada" over the summer, browsing the photographs and reading the stories, and that made me become really interested in Monroe as a person.
I just recently began reading Fragments, a book filled with poems, intimate notes, and letters, all personally done by Monroe. It feels like such an invasion of privacy to read into someones own personal notes and letters, and I know if my personal written thoughts were made into a book with thousands to read, I would hate it. But in a way, this can show people that Monroe wasn't just a pretty face, she was dealing with real life issues that go on today. Her life was so sad and tragic, it makes my heart physically hurt. She describes herself as being "restless and nervous and scattered and jumpy", but this photo didn't show that. She wasn't posing for a photograph, she's just being carefree as she reads a script, so I really fell in love with it.

Photo of the Day : Sisterly Love.
This is my little sister. I took these two photos as we were wandering around a Christmas Market and I really wanted to post it, because I think she is the most caring and wonderful sister anyone could ever ask for.
My sister and I have a very love/hate relationship. We can go from arguing about how she stole my enternity scarf, to giving hugs and laughing in just a minute. Sometimes I say things to her and she takes it the wrong way, because I really want her to be her own person and not worry about what anyone else is doing or what anyone else says, like I did when I was her age. I think when she enters High School, I'll give her a letter in the style of "Dear Younger Version of Myself", filled of everything I know now, that I didn't know then. I really worry about her growing up in the world that we do. As someone who studies the media, I really hate the way girls are sexualized and how they feel that they need to look a certain way to be worth something.
But I need to remember that she has to grow up in her own way, at her own time. That is one of my goals for 2012. Build a better relationship with her, try to be nicer to her, and give her advice instead of being blunt. (For example... Today I made her eat sushi and she hated it. I need to be nicer!)
She is my favourite person, ever.
